Booking your place
Sign up on Eventbrite or drop in and sign up on the day. We will provide personal flotation aids, but not wetsuits, so wear old clothes and flat shoes, and a set of dry clothes might be useful.
After completing the registration process, you will get an opportunity to ride for about 20 minutes in a sailing dinghy under the control of an experienced helm. The helm is under instruction to cancel the session if they deem it unsafe.
It is best to book in advance through Eventbrite. However, you can book up on the day by printing off and bringing this form. Please print off and complete this form.
Please read terms and conditions.
Covid related assessment
Volunteers and attendees must have taken a Covid test and got a recent negative result if they have any of the 5 current common Covid 19 symptoms as reported by Zoe: Runny nose, headache, sneezing, sore throat, loss of smell. If in doubt don’t attend.
Volunteers and attendees are requested to scan the NHS QR code on arrival. This will enable them to get a PCR test if the event is subsequently judged to have had a transmission case by track and trace. Scanning cannot lead to being pinged.
As much as possible of the event is being held outdoors. Please only go indoors when necessary; keep it short and respect 1m social distancing whenever indoors. A screen has been erected to protect Volunteers serving refreshments. For air filters will be in operation. The toilets will be sprayed in advance with a treatment that lasts all day and then inspected every hour. They will be cleaned again before Club use the following day.
All boats being used for the public will have been washed and treated with a persistent virus killing spray. Boat occupancy will be limited to the driver/helm plus either one family group or 2 individuals if the individuals are happy to share. No single trip should last more than 30 mins.
