Volunteering at WiSH
Please find below the latest volunteering roles which are available at our Club.
These were discussed and agreed at the recent AGM and are considered important to our future growth. They will also prove to be very rewarding for those who really want to make a difference.
We have provided a brief summary below. Follow the link to find out more.
Please contact one of the committee members for more information, or email secretary@wish-sc.co.uk
We look forward to hearing from you.

Volunteer Coordinator
The purpose of the Volunteer Coordinator is to make all members aware of the volunteering roles within the club and the importance of those roles in the club’s future development.
The aim of the role is to try and increase engagement of members in the running of the club. This has two purposes.
-
Firstly, members who are engaged in club activities are more likely to retain their membership.
-
Secondly, the more volunteers we have the greater the scope we have to grow as we rely entirely on volunteer support

Next steps coordinator
The aim of this post is to try to maximise the number of beginners who remain engaged with the club after they have qualified as a level two sailor.
This could be achieved by discussing with newly-qualified members how they can continue their sailing and become involved in volunteering and social activities.
